No lame attempts at witty humor- just pictures...because I'm wicked tired.
Moving out of my temporary lodging this morning and naively thinking "Man, I've got a lot of stuff!"
Glad I took a picture, so I will know that the kitchen was once in a clean-ish state.
Doesn't it look like that flower on the screen was put there on purpose? I think there was some show on RTS about Gorée Island
Guests- this is where you'll be staying if I ever get this bed cleaned off. Runners get to stay free, everyone else has to pay at least a dollar.
...and your dollar gets you a bath in this shower curtain-less personal bathroom. Yes, I'm forbidding you from showering since you'll just get water all over the floor.
My place came furnished (kinda) if you couldn't already tell. I opted not to put a bed in this room, and will instead make it my office where I can sit at my desk and work on winning my Nobel Prize.
One of the views from my balcony. The ocean's out there- it's just a little dusty right now. Like the rest of Dakar.
I picked this as my bedroom cuz I'm a sailor. And I need a porthole in my warship-less life right now.
Oh sweet. I can see the African Renaissance Monument from outside my porthole!
I can't be certain, but moving must be like childbirth. You don't remember how painful the process is when you're no longer in the moment. I can't figure out otherwise why I'd be smiling in this picture.
Stand by for "during" photos. They don't look nearly as impressively messy as they do in real life.

Nice Digs, Hallinan!!! Am I considered a runner???? If so I'll gladly stay for free.
ReplyDeleteNice place. I'll just surprise you one day and knock on your door
